With Alex actually flying home to Canberra, during this meeting, he had thoughtfully prepared a video presentation in advance. His topics included, the latest, Samsung 85 inch QN 900D Smart TV, iPad Air, Claude AI and Google AI, and more. Click the link below to view it now.
This meeting included the AGM reports from 2023, and the election of committee members for 2024:
Stephen South, Ron Ferguson, Clare Perry, Alex Zarahov-Reutt and Anthony Robison.
We wish them all well.
April 2024 Main Meeting
With Alex having just returned from the Lenovo exhibition in Bangkok, he had plenty of items to present, and discuss. This included, Lenovo’s agreement with Anaconda® Inc., the leading provider of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and data science platform, to empower Lenovo’s trusted ThinkStation™ and ThinkPad™ workstation products.
Alex also discussed and showed short videos on topics, including, Surface Pro 10 and Surface 6, Copilot AI, Intel Core processors, LG OLED TVs, Samsung products and much more.
March 2024 Main Meeting
As usual, this meeting covered a wide range of topics, and like always, Alex skilfully handled discussions including: security cameras, Robotic lawnmowers and various AI topics, including AI images, as seen here.
AI came up a lot, during discussions, and it seems we're in for some amazing things soon. One was the OpenAI Sora video producer, where Alex showed totally-made-up drone footage following a vehicle racing along a winding dusty road somewhere, looking quite authentic with dust churning up from the wheels.
Alex also asked CoPilot to help with refreshing the Sydney PC User Group and it went into great detail about things we could do. All together, another very successful meeting.
February 2024 Main Meeting
Alex began by restating some of the online swindles highlighted by the National Anti-Scam Centre’s, ‘Scams Awareness Week’, that ran from 27 November to 1 December 2023. He warned that these criminals are continually creating new ways to scam even the most cautious people.
